The lead acetate tape specifically designed for Canadian Gavanic analyzers is produced in a strictly controlled factory environment, ensuring high quality. All tapes from Lite Electronics use lead acetate tape to measure hydrogen sulfide in process gas. The principle is: only hydrogen sulfide reacts with lead acetate, causing the tape to turn brown. The hydrogen sulfide content is directly proportional to the color change on the lead acetate tape. This principle is the basis for many ASTM methods.
